The 5th Annual National Youth skills development expo 2017 was held on 20th October, 2017, from 7am till 8pm, at the Uganda National Museum. It was organized by Youth Advocacy Foundation Uganda (YAFU), in conjunction with Uganda Youth Network (UYONET). Supported by: Ministry of Gender, Labor and Social Development (MoGLSD) - YLP, Plan International Uganda, Ceed Uganda , and World Remit. Sponsored by: Hariss International Ltd/Riham, Centenary Bank, ISBAT University, URA, URSB, UNBS, CEED, Uganda Youth Forum, and with coordinating partners like; Open Space Uganda, Uganda Parliamentary Forum on Youth Affairs, ACEPRA, Students for Global Democracy, Hackshade, International University of East Africa (IUEA) and the Uganda Museum.

The Expo was attended by a variety of young people, in school, out of school, companies and organizations that participated and exhibited their youthful skills all through. Among the schools at the expo were;- 1. Sumaya Girls high school. 2. Kawanda Secondary School. 3. Kibuli Secondary school. 4. St. Peters Secondary school Nsambya. 5. Kinaawa High school. 6. City View high school. 7. Hilton high school Mukono. 8. Midland high school. 9. East High School Ntinda. 10.ISBAT University.
